The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all your Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all your Tears wash out a Word of it

They say that imagination is the only real medium for information. In these pages, layout excepted, nothing is left out to fantasy. What you will read or see is a part of the long history of my family, as it was once upon a time and what's left of it now. The site is above all addressed to the younger members of my family, now dispersed in Iran or around the planet. They will discover a bit of Iran's tumultuous history and read about some events as I lived them. Despite the high drama, I am not ready yet to put an exclamation mark behind my hopes. There were many sad but also happy moments. Some people may be averse to the Qajar dynasty we come from, but so what. One dude got a little too smart with me and went nuclear, therefore I had to raise the rethoric in a rather undiplomatic way. Anyhow, many Qajars or Kadjars left their marks and contributed in no small way to our homeland, Iran's first popular Constitution included. Finally, if you see so many felines (cats) on my site it is because we like them, they were and still are better friends than some humans we know... and beware, "People that hate cats, will come back as mice in their next life." Now let's have a look at a few Qajars and their offsprings:
The QAJARS
Agha Mohammad Shah 1796-1797 | Fath Ali Shah 1797-1834 | Crown Prince Abbas Mirza
Mohammad Shah 1834-1848 | Nasseredin Shah 1848-1896 | Mozzafaredin Shah 1806-1907

Hey, our diplomacy was rather good. The scene above right, was recorded by the New York Times during the 1962 Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations. The delegates were Iraq's Ali Haidar Sulaiman in deep slumber and Iranian diplomat Mahmoud Salehi who passed away in exile some years back. As for Mahmoud Salehi, don't get nasty ideas, he was not lifting documents, just borrowing a glass of water... Below are pages I made for diplomat and painter friend "Nasser Ovissi," plenty of great paintings and watch out for Cyrus the Great and the first Human Rights scroll. Go ahead and click on the image:

I hold it true, whate'er befall,
I feel it when I surrow most,
Tis better to have loved and lost,
Than never to have loved at all.
Lord Tennyson
"Never, go back to a place where you have been happy. Until you do it remains alive for you.
If you go back it will be destroyed."
