Iradj Amini,

Diplomat, Author and Qajar Expert

and a good "Cousin" too...

Iradj Amini, was the last ambassador of the Shah of Iran in Tunisia and lives in France since 1979. A passionate "historian," the "India of the Koo-i-Noor" diamond was his first book. Since then he has published Napoleon and Persia which he just sent me. Thank you Iradj it was excellent. Click here to see.

Of all the world's diamonds, the Kooh-i-Norr is perhaps the most fabulous one. It's tragic and turmoiled account is mixed with the history of India, Afghanistan, Persia and of course England. It is replete with fantastic anecdotes and colorful people beyond compare.  Be it known that Queen Victori refused to wear it, for fear of its evil and malevolent power.

A must-read, Iradj Amini's book is available at:

Éditions François Bourin,
27 Rue Saint-André-des-Arts, Paris 75006 - France.
