Informal Qajar Days

No pomp and circumstance at the Persian Qajar Court.
They were rather informal and easy going. This is a unique photograph from
our family's files picturing my Great, great-Grandmother Mahde-Olia sitting on the Peacock
Throne.
She was both my father's and my mother's Great Grandmother. Go and figure.
Below is a photo of my dear mother Malekeh Ghods Khanom-e-Khanomha as
a child with
Ezzat Dowleh (Mahde-Olia) her grandmother
To the left is her son King Nassereddin Shah Qajar and to the right the King's sister
Ezzat Doleh.
We descend directly from her. Nasserddin Shah was a "techie" and enjoyed
photography like
we do computers. He had a darkroom and developped and printed this photo.
Maybe he can see it now from the Great Beyond, who knows?
