Mass Objects. Prototypes of mass objects are construed as singular, in that one individuated quantity of a mass object's archetype is perceptually similar to another quantity and to the archetype itself. Mass objects are indicated by certain referents, notably `cuk ‘how(ever) much'.

Subtypes of mass nouns arise from the types of changes and qualities that may occur with them; subtypes include solid, granular, powdery, liquid, and gaseous objects.
